Success Story - Blake and Uhlig

Tom Marshall, attorney at Blake and Uhlig, recently made it a point to let his primary purple guy know that Versent is doing a great job at his Kansas City, KS Labor Law firm.  Kevin Helt was that purple guy and he passed the message along to all of us in purple.  Tom said the only thing he has to measure an IT support company’s success by is how much computer downtime his law firm experiences.  He says having the purple guys take care of his network has resulted in substantially less downtime and that’s meant more productivity for all of the firm's attorneys and support personnel. 

Along the lines of increased productivity, the purple guys helped the Blake & Uhlig staff spend less time at the office while getting more work done.  Kevin set up a VPN tunnel and remote desktop access so users could access the firm's network and resources when they are out of the office.

Kevin also upgraded all computer systems to the newest version of Microsoft Office 2003, so everyone is now using the latest and fastest version of office productivity software (word processing, spreadsheets and email).

Kevin also made the Blake & Uhlig network more secure and efficient by centralizing account management, network security and antivirus protection. Blake & Uhlig also now knows what they have on their network thanks to Versent's inventory of network resources, including computer hardware

Tom knows that IT support guys get a lot of grief when things aren't working, so he believes in letting us know when things are working well.  Tom said it is really working out having us provide support rather than having an in-house IT person.  We're happy to help Blake & Uhlig deal with their technology and we'd like to send out an "attaboy" to purple guy Kevin Helt for taking care of them!
