Since 1988, Community LINC (www.communitylinc.org), a transitional housing program in mid-town Kansas City, MO, has assisted over 650 families to self-sufficiency. Early one morning last month, when purple guy Michael Snodgrass answered the phone at 7:20AM, Caller ID indicated Community LINC. It was a Community LINC staff member with an urgent, immediate request. The night before, this staff member had irreversibly deleted the entire Community LINC Volunteer database, not only on her own workstation but on the server as well.  Her only hope was to restore from tape and she was not able to complete the task and meet a mid-morning deadline for emailing a critical request to all of Community LINC's Volunteers.

Michael immediately connected remotely to Community LINC through a secure VPN connection and directed staff members through the process of loading the previous day's tape in the drive and successfully restored the database on the server.  The folks at Community LINC were elated and made their deadline.

Persistence, patience, dedication and follow-through got the job done for Community LINC.
